Design & material notes
An upholstered back armchair like the Franchesca Wood Armchair feels at home in fine dining rooms, hotel restaurants, and private dining rooms. It is listed for indoor use. Its frame is wood. For the seat, choose fabric or vinyl. It comes with 500 lb of rated capacity, an item weight of 22 lb, armrests, and a padded backrest. BIFMA certification appears on its listing.
You can set wood finish from 11 choices, including Mahogany, Dark Mahogany, and Cherry, the seat type (Padded Vinyl Seat or Padded Fabric Seat), and padded vinyl seat from 40 choices, including Black, Buckskin, and Wine. Further finish fields open as you make each choice. It belongs at a standard 29 to 30 inch dining table, where a 17 to 19 inch seat leaves about 10 to 12 inches beneath the top.
Chairs are the piece guests touch most, so sit in the room in your head: about 24 inches of table edge per person keeps elbows apart and the table looking generous. Care is simple. Vinyl stays supple with mild soap, water and a dry cloth; skip bleach and solvents. Blot spills on fabric at once, vacuum it regularly, and read the cleaning code before any cleaner touches it.
Keep the chosen version on your finish board while the other pieces come together. Upholstery is cut to your choices, which adds time before shipping.
