Warranty
Limited Warranty on Restaurant Chairs and Tables
This is our limited warranty in plain English. It's short, because the promise is simple: the furniture should arrive free of defects, and if it doesn't, we'll put it right.
What's covered
Every piece we sell should reach you without defects in materials or workmanship, and that's what this warranty promises. A loose joint straight out of the carton, a seat that won't sit level, a stain that's blotchy on arrival, or a split in the wood are the kinds of defects this covers. The warranty belongs to the original purchaser and doesn't pass to anyone who later buys the furniture from you. It applies to normal commercial use in a dining room, cafe, or similar setting, meaning guests sitting, staff moving and stacking chairs as intended, and regular cleaning.
What isn't covered
Misuse and abuse fall outside the warranty, including standing on chairs or rocking them on two legs. So do pieces that have been altered without our written approval, and damage caused by harsh cleaners or by skipping basic care, such as ignoring a fabric's cleaning code. Unfinished or unstained items aren't covered, and neither are components bought on their own. Indoor furniture placed outdoors is excluded too, and so are outdoor pieces left out year-round with no cleaning, cover, or storage. Freight damage is handled separately through a carrier claim, and ordinary wear, like softened color or scuffs on a busy chair, is part of furniture living a working life.
Solid wood moves, and that's normal
Solid wood is a natural material that takes on and gives off moisture with the seasons. Butcher block, plank, and live-edge tops can open small checks at the ends, show a seam, or bow slightly when the air turns very dry or very humid. That movement isn't a defect in the furniture, so the warranty doesn't cover it. You can limit it by keeping tops away from heating and cooling vents, wiping spills promptly, and resealing when water no longer beads on the surface.
How to file a claim
Look over the furniture when it arrives, and let us know in writing about any shortage or defect within three days of receiving it. Email the name on the order, the delivery ZIP code, and a short description of the problem. Include photos that show the full piece and a near view of the problem, plus any label underneath. Sometimes we'll need the faulty part sent back for a closer look. Keep your confirmation email handy, since it shows what was ordered and where it went.
How we make it right
When a piece proves defective under this warranty, the remedy will be a repair, a replacement, or a credit for what you paid, at our discretion. Nothing beyond that remedy is owed, including lost income or business interruption. No other warranty applies to the furniture, written or implied; this limited warranty replaces them all.
Care questions are answered in our materials and finishes guide, and our returns policy covers furniture that's sound but not what you wanted.
